Miss Teen South Dakota International®

Patience Lunday

1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
Lately, in South Dakota, we haven’t been getting very much rain. Every time it rains, I take a couple minutes to really savor the sound knowing that we as South Dakotans don’t hear it all that often.

2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
To get straight A's and never crack open a book. I’d love to have the talent of being naturally book smart because for me to get good grades, I have to hit the books every night. However, I was blessed with street smarts. It all happens for a reason.

3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
My time management rocks and I’m very well organized. It’s probably the best habit I have as a result of keeping a busy schedule.

4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
Do I make mistakes? Only every other minute. I wouldn’t want it any other way. Learning keeps a person young, and I always do my best to learn from my mistakes. I should be forever young.

5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
Bangs, also known as fry bread, is my number one favorite food. I’m Native American and it is one of the thing that keeps me close to my culture. I’ve spent numerous hours helping my mom make it.
