1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
1. My interest in medicine led me to become a nationally licensed EMT, and I now spend my time at the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department. I’ve volunteered over 400 hours of my time there, and that time spent has cemented my decision about my chosen career field. Being able to help a person in their darkest hour is an honor, and concretely defines community service to me.

2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
2. Seeing my family affected by cancer during my uncle’s 10 year battle changed me, and his passing came far too soon. I knew from that moment that no one should ever have to see a family member, let alone a child, robbed of their life by this terrible disease. I’ve always wanted to work with kids, and after my families experience I knew that I was going to be a pediatric oncologist.

3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
3. Since becoming a certified open water scuba diver in 2009, I have dived with my family on vacations to Hawaii, the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands and Mexico. My most memorable experience was in the Bahamas, where I dove with sharks. Everyone on the dive kneeled against a wrecked ship while the dive master, in a chain mail suit of course, fed the sharks and let us pet them as they swam by.

4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
4. After being a competitive gymnast and a power tumbler starting at the age of 6, I joined the varsity gymnastics and cheerleading teams my freshman year of high school. I have continued to be a double varsity athlete, being recognized by the state as a scholar athlete each year.

5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
5. I have fostered over 115 cats and kittens through a local rescue organization called Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation. My mom and I get a mom with many babies, and we get to feed them with the adorable little bottles. Holding the little balls of fluff before their eyes have even opened is by far the cutest thing in the world.
